Ideal for teal.
Today I’m wearing H&M black & white turtleneck, Bebe pencil skirt with a middle slit, Urban Outfitters heels and thrifted short sleeve teal jacket I found for only $1!!! I think the bold teal with contrast black piping detail won me over.
It’s a chilly day so I opted to layer by wearing a fitted turtleneck under my cheap jacket. What I love about my turtle neck is that it had contrasted white sleeves with a black body. It makes you wonder what layers are going on underneath!
Mr. Gloom followed President Obama to Los Angeles today and it allowed for my favorite faux fur vest to come out and play. Wearing all black is a safe choice on those days where you don’t really want to ponder about what to wear.
Theysen’s Theory blouse, William Rast for Target leather shorts, Marshall’s faux fur vest, H&M lace bra, Gentle Fawn satchel, and Christian Siriano for Payless booties.
New work for the first issue of Tantulum magazine!!!!!!! Thanks Steve Elias for publishing this set.

I love leopard - the print, not the actual animal for I fear it will shred me apart into tiny morsels of flesh and bone. I found this dress at Zara’s sale last week and loved the sewn-in cinched waist and bow adornment. Accompanied with my new red Calvin Klein handbag, favorite vintage jewelry pieces, and Bakers strappy heels, it made me forget about Carmageddon (which was an absolute joke, by the way).
Today I went shopping with my bestie at Topanga mall in search for THE perfect birthday dress. Ran into the Love Culture store there, and saw the latest marketing and ad campaign posters plastered all over the store for the first time!
I walked around the store with the cheesiest grin, and was so proud for the blood, sweat and tears (of joy) our team had accomplished for this shoot. Note to self: Would love to have a poster to hang somewhere in the house. Definitely need to ask corporate if I can take a piece home after the season’s over.
A closer look of today’s outfit - color block. I bought my canary yellow top at my favorite Goodwill store, and the cute bow fuschia skirt is from a designer that restores vintage pieces.
Just because it’s gloomy, it does not take away the season! It’s still summer, people! I hate it when I see people bust out their trenches and UGG boots (as I saw today) just because there a slight overcast. Anyhow, to explain my mix-matched shoe, I was shoe-shopping…
Close-up of my Isabel Toledo’s for Payless.
Also received my first gel and rockstar manicure from the bestie of Chi Nail Bar & Spa in Beverly Hills. They’re suppose to last for two weeks; I can’t stop looking at them! If you haven’t been to this salon, you are missing out! It sits right by Rodeo Drive so you can conveniently shop (or like me, window shop) after. Paris Hilton, Kelly Rowland are among many of the stars that go to the salon as well! Super jealous that the bestie gets to work on their manicure (even though I’m a stylist) I still get starstruck.
I apologize for the mobile pics; did not have my camera on me!
Palazzo pants = exaggerated wide-legged pants. My only peeve is when the pants are too short and exposes your heels when you’re still. Make sure to wear your most favorite high heels when shopping for a pair of palazzo pants, which looks great with a comfortable “boyfriend” blouse or fitted tank top. For the shorter ladies, go for the high-waisted palazzo pants to give the illusion of longer legs and length. Basic accessories such as a cinched waist belt and chunky bangles would finish give you an A+ in the palazzo delivery style.
